On October 2, 2021, The Green Church Committee embarked on our first highway clean-up just north of the Sault on Highway 17 for 2 kilometers on both sides from the Sault Ste. Marie sign to Trout Lake Road. Above are some pictures of the nice folks at work! Thank you to the Green Church members and Our Lady of Good Counsel parishoners that volunteered!

Street Cleanups

The Green Church Committee chose to end the Highway 17 cleanups after a two-year committment, over safety concerns. The committee decided to look at cleaning a street or portion of the City of Sault Ste. Marie. The committee is currently finalizing the process to clean Pine Street in May and October on select Saturdays and Sundays. Stay tuned.
